The 114.BiblioCon will take place from 19 to 22 May 2026 at the ESTREL Berlin.
The event is organised by the Berufsverband Information Bibliothek e.V. (BIB) and the VDB – Verein Deutscher Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare e.V. (Association of German Librarians).
Do you have an exciting project, an interesting initiative or an innovative idea? Then come to the 114th BiblioCon 2026 in Berlin. In #Freiraum26, you can present your activities and ideas and discuss them with the library community. The focus is on exchange, so we look forward to interactive project presentations, stimulating discussions and good networking.
Where and how?
The 114.BiblioCon will take place from 19 to 22 May 2026 at the ESTREL Berlin under the motto ‘Analogue meets Algorithm’. Your #Freiraum26 is a flexible presentation area with a microphone system and seating cubes within the company exhibition.
Available time slots are 30 or 60 minutes.

Appointments are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Speakers at #Freiraum26 are not exempt from the registration fee.
For #Freiraum26, the same conditions apply to the presentation of company products and contributions from ‘solo self-employed persons’ as for Call for Papers (See ‘General Information’ and ‘Company Presentations and Product Presentations’).
Presentations by company representatives are part of the fee-based company programme. If company products are discussed in presentations by specialist colleagues, it must be ensured that service aspects are the main focus, otherwise the submitted contribution will be treated as a company presentation.
Individual colleagues who are not (or no longer) employed full-time in libraries and who earn their main living from consulting and training activities are welcome to submit proposals. However, these contributions will be treated as company presentations and subject to a lower fee. This applies primarily to ‘solo self-employed’ individuals and not to company employees (see Company Presentation).
