Call for Poster

From 19 to 22 May 2026, the 114.BiblioCon will take place at the ESTREL Berlin under the motto ‘Analogue meets Algorithm’. The event is organised by the Berufsverband Information Bibliothek e.V. (BIB) and the Verein Deutscher Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare e.V. (VDB).

In 2026, we would like to make BiblioCon even more attractive by adding a poster exhibition.

We therefore request as many submissions as possible of specialist posters on topics related to BiblioCon.

Posters can be submitted from 12 January 2026 onwards.

Criterias, Jury and Award Ceremony

The submitted posters will be evaluated and selected based on formal and content-related criteria.

  • When evaluating submissions, we are guided by the following criteria:
    • Current relevance, Innovation and Practical relevance
      • As organisers, we attach great importance to contributors presenting new ideas that are exemplary and relevant to professional practice. We welcome innovative contributions with future impact. Reports on completed projects are expected to cover not only project objectives but also, and above all, project results, implementation problems or even failures.
    • Connectivity
      • The evaluation gives special consideration to submissions that promote interdisciplinary thinking and the acquisition of skills beyond existing professional boundaries.
    • Creative Ideas and Design Implementation
      • Ideally, presentation and implementation should be consistent with the content to be conveyed. A creative approach to the topic and the appropriate use of the available design tools are highly desirable.
    • The best posters will be awarded prizes at the closing event on 22 May.
    • Like the presentations, the posters will be archived on the BIB OPUS publication server after the 114.BiblioCon.

Please submit the abstract of your poster with explanatory information to our abstract server by 20 March 2026.
