The Origin – Berlin nightlife since 1997

The story begins in 1997, when a group of enthusiasts (including Jack, Nico, Frank and Sascha Disselkamp) opened the Sage Club above the Heinrich-Heine-Straße underground station in Berlin-Mitte – thus opening a new chapter in Berlin’s nightlife and cultural scene.

The Sage Club quickly established itself as a legendary venue for music, live concerts, DJ sets, art performances, parties and events – with a diverse mix of rock, metal, indie, punk, hip-hop, house, electro and more. The ‘Rock @ Sage’ format, which regularly featured live bands and DJs on several floors, became particularly famous.

In the 2000s, the operators also became involved in charitable projects such as the SAGE Hospital in Senegal, where medical care was established locally through parties and donations – ‘Partying helps’ became a motto. sageberlin.com

Other projects such as a restaurant on the banks of the Spree, Sage Restaurant, and other event spaces such as Sage Beach have also been created over the years, combining gastronomy, culture and nightlife.

The restaurant is the heart of the establishment, housed in the listed brick building of a former silk spinning mill. Here, industrial charm combines with modern design and media art installations to create an impressive ambiance.

Today, this area is known as Sage Berlin, the place where we celebrate our BiblioCon party.

Sage Berlin is located at Köpenicker Str. 20, 10997 Berlin.
